About Jules
This is what I do best… see moments… capture memories. I transform a bride a
nd groom’s love story into emotional photographic art worthy of such a special day.
I pride myself on building a bond with my brides and grooms. When I feel that I know you, when I have to fight back tears of joy for you and find myself grinning ear to ear, we are on the right track. When I reach the point where I can see the truth in your love, then I can photograph it.
With a Master of Arts degree from The University of Western Ontario in History, with specialization in women and family history, I see every photo I take as my chance to document and participate in a family’s genealogy. Years from now, the photos I take will be looked upon as historical documents. I love my job. I combine my two great passions: being an historian and being a photographer. What more could I ask for?!
A few details…
- I know how to pin a boutonniere, sew a broken button back on, bustle a dress and how to make even the toughest of subjects relax in front of my camera.
- I’m horrible at telling jokes. I try, it never works.
- I answer to “Mom”, “Mommy” and “Mama” more often than I answer to “Jules”. And those three words are my favourite sounds in the entire world. I am completely in love with my kids and I’m not sure what I did right to earn the privilege of being their Mom.

- I have over 10 years experience as a primary photographer and have worked at weddings since I was a teenager. I’ve shot weddings in Algonquin Park at a private resort, to a boat wedding in Toronto Harbour, to a destination wedding in Punta Cana, Domincan Rep., and everything in between.
- I have been married for 17 years to the most sarcastic, loving, biggest kid, and best-match-I-could-imagine-for-me man. He’s pretty lucky to have me too though, I’m rather awesome.
- I believe I have the coolest job in the world.
- I really don’t understand the appeal of coffee. Yes, I’m a Canadian who doesn’t drink coffee, an anomaly to be sure.
- I think every day must have chocolate. This isn’t an option, it’s a necessity of life, like oxygen.
So, drop me a line…… I want to hear about your plans.… We”ll do lunch!
